Who in this world today actually believes they can give advice to people and their so called problems and actually believe they are helping others?

In my experience and the knowledge I've acquired myself from learning about the body/mind/spirit, I have a difficult time with accepting anyone else's advice but my own.

Unless one has been through the exact same experiences as another, what sound advice can you really give? Except to encourage another to 'think' for themselves.

The human psyche is very delicate and needs, in my opinion, to be handled with kid gloves! :)

One of the main missions of EP was to act as a center of support groups for people in need.

Advice given should always be looked on as a option and not as if some Senpai was running your life.

I don't think that people should be overly concerned with incorrect advice unless the giver is acting like some type of Predator.

Okay this is not EP and I hadn't had a chance to be a part of it before it closed.

Are you saying this is EP's Brother/Sister? Because from what I've seen a lot of the things I read here are not helpful MY OPINION!

@Justpeaceandlove: I would say that there are a lot of people from EP that are here and that the mission of EP is relevant here. EP promoted the use of support and discussion groups.

I would agree that the advice here is not professional but many times people share the same challenges and are available and free.

I do agree though that the relationship must include the receiver having full free choice about accepting advice or not. That is the only healthy thing for accountability of the person receiving. I can't see how you would police these relationships on whether they should give advice or not though.

@Pfuzylogic: what I did was simply give an opinion and express thoughts that came to me, that's all.

I'm not sure that I was policing anything! But just as I expressed myself so did you and that was my intention for sharing in the first place. Not to accuse anyone for anything! :)
