Is it normal for a 15 year old girl to not clean up?

My 15 year old sister is extremely lazy, I've never really seen her clean unless you force her to. My mom even cleans her room for her and washes her clothes. Is this normal?

Yep. Very normal lol. My friend group especially, my friends always seemed to have messy rooms. I'd get a call about how a sleepover was cancelled because they hadn't cleaned their room, or they'd start out with "my room is super messy. Just so you know".

@AmmieBell My 15 year old sister says she wants to have a sleepover, but her and my mom don't clean up I told her to clean she said she isn't.

@Angeliclove is the final say up to your mom? Because I assume your mom is the one in charge. And I guess your sister probably WOULD say no to you since you're not her mom. Not much can be done if your mom isn't willing to make her or tell her she can't have one without cleaning

@Angeliclove where do you live that she's even able to have a sleepover right now? My sister would be told hell no, due to the lockdown and virus transfer, clean room or not lmao

@AmmieBell That's right, and my mom said no.

@Angeliclove well then I guess it doesn't matter if she tells you she won't clean up lol. If she loses privileges over it, she knows she needs to eventually anyway. Your mom taking away all privileges would probably make her do it. Electronics and things. My mom doesn't even let us use electronics UNTIL our chores for the morning are done😂

@AmmieBell My mom doesn't even give her chorus, she do as she please it's sad really.

@Angeliclove I mean yeah it sucks for now, but now is just temporary. I feel bad for your sister really. Your mom isn't teaching her the skills she needs, like keeping up with work or cleaning responsibly, and your sister will be struggling to swim when she enters the real world. So really it will hurt her in the end, more than anyone else. So she'll learn eventually

@AmmieBell I know, I grew up with my aunt and she always made me do chores and she was a very clean person. So I learned from her my mom on the other hand doesn't really like to clean so therefore she doesn't teach my sister how to. Even her hygiene is off sometimes.
