Can my dad do this?

Can my dad claim me as a dependent on his tax return paperwork? I’m 23 years old and I haven’t been a full time college student at all. I have read online that if that’s the case then he can’t claim me. I keep telling him this but he insists I am a dependent. I think he’s trying to make me lie. He says I won’t be able to be covered by his health insurance policy if I claim myself. Is this true? I don’t mind paying for my own health insurance.

If you're working a real full-time job,he cannot claim you.(You gotta do your own flippin' taxes.) If you're mooching off of him,YES he can claim you.I hope that's not the case.Oh yeah you gotta get your own health insurance. No hate here, just telling you what I have experienced.

@gurlwatcher22 nah I think he’s trying to get that child dependent tax break. It’s one of the top 2 most abused sections on tax returns. One must meet ALL 5 qualifications to be a dependent, not 1 or 4 but ALL 5 if you read it clearly that’s what it states.
