I guess you just get yourself out there.
My friend (who was gorgeous but complained of being single forever) joined a rock climbing class. She had zero experience but by the next year she had a zillion activities and friends. She started several relationships from the activities.
I’m not sure if the guy she is with now is from climbing or work.
The climbing thing was just a whim and it really makes her happy now.
