Is it ok to get a suppository by parent when you are 15 year old?

My brother had a temperature for last few days and a doctor gave him a prescription for a suppository. My dad was with him at doctor office and when they got home. He told him to get into the bathroom, I asked my dad what is goding on and he said that he is going to insert a suppository into him. He took the rubber gloves from the drawer and he went inside and closed a door. They came out after the 5 minutes.

I am asking you is this normal because they seemed ok with it but it was ankward for me?
