What should I do?

I sent money into school for my sons soccer club, the form said it was €35, I put it in an envelope with the signed consent form, the soccer club teacher came to my son and said "there's been a mix up, soccer club is only €5, so there's €30 back" my son then asked did he need the form, the teacher said yes, he brings home the envelope and it's empty..
My son says, he saw the money in it when the teacher gave it to him, so either he accidentally pulled the money out too and it fell on the floor and someone took it, or it's possible that someone took it from his bag and left the empty envelope behind...
I sent a handwritten note to the teacher this morning, he says "I don't know where it is and he asked the class, they said they didn't know, so basically I'm told" tough shit not our problem "
Someone in that class has our money.. Surely it can't be just left like that 🙄🤔

* Talk to your Son and say it needs to be found.
* Suggest going to school with him and making a complaint to the Principle/Head. Not that you want to accuse anybody but you'd at least like the school to investigate and look since the 'loss' occurred on their property.
* Tell them that you didn't find the Teacher's response helpful in fact it sounded disrespectful.

Shake the tree and see what falls out.
