No ofince to Asians at all here. I'm not upset at being called Asian because I dislike you as a people but I have my own ancestry that I'm really proud of. Just tired of people asking and then acting like I'm lying when I correct them.

@JBird @JaneDoeEyes - this would've been my guess as to what people may be seeing. Though that said, I don't recall too many people using "Asian" to reference (for example) people from Pakistan or Afghanistan. Or even India, for that matter. 🤔
Looking at your pic before scrolling through the comments, I can see why people might think you have Asian or, more likely what they mean, Oriental heritage. Not parents or probably even grandparents, but further back in your lineage. That said, asking in general is rude; acting as though you're a liar when you tell them otherwise is not only rude but baffling. My personal guesses (if I were allowed two) would've been Native American or central Asia (Pakistan, etc). I see from the comments that you are indeed Native American heritage.
