What do you guys think of this?

A company in Australia offered my dad a job. The first thing he asked them was what was the possibility of residency, because he didn't want to move his family's entire lives half way across the world for a few years. They told us in 2 years we could apply and they would sponsor us.

We go and we love it there. Made a ton of friends. Thought we would live there forever.

2 years come and they tell us to do another 2 years.

Those 2 years pass, and they say "Well, actually, it's too much money, so byyyeeeeee."

We contacted immagration and they told us there was no way we could stay despite living there for 6 years. They paid for our flights but that was it.

Pretty messed up if you ask me. Does he have any this in writing?
@SW-User He has his contact, but no where on the contract does it guarantee residency. It doesn't say anything about it. Not asking for that in writing was a mistake that we regret, but even if we did, how could we take a big company like that to court or something?

@lauriethecolourful If you had it writing they would have honored it. It sucks.
