mention that you are internal

Or should I just leave that part out?
I am not concerned about supervisor/management knowing I'm looking for work outside the department. At least I'm tying to stay with the company

Mention it as a side issue. "My current position in the ******section means that I am familiar with*****" something like that.

@whowasthatmaskedman TY. how about this " relevant to this position is my experience as a CURRENT [job title] with [the company]?? then explain what I do there...?

@iamnikki Yep.. You got this. If you speak to your supervisor, you may be able to offer them as a reference. But dont do it without asking first.

@whowasthatmaskedman whoops. I already have them listed as a reference. Lot of apps make you use current super as a ref anyway.
I kid you not, the super said she didn't feel like coming to work today so she gets 100 percent why I'm trying to leave..I've been here 6 months and 5 people have transferred or quit. Our department only had 11 people ...

@iamnikki Its just polite to ask someone before quoting them as a referee.. But for an internal position its sort of expected they will ask them about you anyway.

@whowasthatmaskedman right, should i send the new manager an email saying I've applied and am available for interviewing at her earliest convenience?

@iamnikki Thats it. Keep the tone professional and show off your corporate communication skills.
