How do you make new friends an adult?

I recently just moved back to my home town, where I had zero friends before I left, and I am really struggling with loneliness. It's not because I'm not trying to be social, but everyone always seems to shut me down whenever I try here.

@SW-User It seems that way. When I lived in Australia, I had a lot of good friends. I never had friends here, besides when I was very little.
