How can one be kind/ likeable to people but without being a pushover

It's simple: be kind but not at your own expense. It's ok to say "I'm sorry but I can't do that" or whatever you feel is appropriate when people ask unreasonable things of you. Being kind doesn't mean you have to be a YES man(girl). A true kind person is also kind to themselves.
