Serious warning against medication to children. It can stunt their growth and cause serious damage that is irreversible.

For the love of all that is pure, do not medicate your children. If they aren't well try to use natural means to make them better. All medication is dangerous on young bodies and minds. If you are taking them to a psychologist ask for mental exercises instead of medication. You will live to regret it if you medicate your children.

Sorry but as someone who developed a mental health problem as a child this is bunk. If it wasn't for medication I would be crying and screaming in a corner with my heart rate through the roof.
You claim that people on meds are killing themselves but did you ever think it was the condition they were being treated for that drove them to it and not the medication?

@canusernamebemyusername I wish I had had lamotrigine in my life when I was a teenager, everything would have been so much easier.
@SW-User Have thought of trying that but Steven Johnson's syndrome and Ten scare the crap out of me. But I'm glad it is helping you and you didn't get those side effects.

@canusernamebemyusername it took me a while before I could make myself take the first one, I'll tell you that, I was scared shitless too
@SW-User When I was first on meds they were intense. But I had never been on something so harsh before. Over the years it got to the point I'm pretty resistant to meds now.

@canusernamebemyusername Honestly, I've had fewer side effects from this than I got from antidepressants. The big one is memory problems, which is frustrating but well worth a ticket out of hell.
@SW-User I was on the name brand clomipramine at first but it wore off. I had a relapse a few years ago and decided to try the generic one instead. That one could have killed me if I had kept taking it. But I eventually found the right combo. I just hate that they make me sleepy and I have been taking rhodiola which seems to help.
@canusernamebemyusername I don't know about the cases that require medication but maybe they exist. I just know that alot of people who don't have such serious problems being given medication and facing the negative consequences.
@lightshinesthroughdarkness If a person gets better without medication they were probably just going to get better anyway. But some things are too serious to ignore and can even put other people in danger.
@SW-User Drugs also messed with my memory but as soon as I dropped them the body started healing itself. Our bodies can survive alot, shocks me. Takes a few weeks but breathing and memory got better when I dropped medication. You will recover completely.

@lightshinesthroughdarkness My memory does immediately come back once I stop taking it, but so do the bipolar symptoms that make my life unbearable. I'm not taking it for no reason.
@SW-User Try this, just an idea. Change your diet and do physical activity like jogging. You need to stress the body to heal the mind, believe me. Eat more veggies and fruits. More healthy meats like lamb or cow. Jogg and work out atleast one hour a day. Soon as you have done that for atleast a week you will realize you hardly need medication since your mind will be getting adjusted to this new system and with that shift the bipolar symptoms will also shift. Body affects mind, trust me.

@lightshinesthroughdarkness This is just insulting. Do you think I haven't tried? I have been very, very fit in the past. I was a serious swimmer in school and I used to walk 40 kilometres a week. I eat very little meat. I'm thin and healthier than most people my age. If that cured it, I would have been cured 25 years ago.

I don't believe you or trust you when you're talking about something you don't understand.
@SW-User I'm just trying to help you. Diet affects life, it could be stuff you are eating. I am not trying to insult you. If you don't change your life medication could ruin it when you aren't young and healthy anymore
