If someone never texts first, but always responds, should you keep talking to them?

Do you like talking to the person? Can you ask the person why they don't text first? Does the person possibly have low self-confidence and doesn't feel as though they have anything to say?

@RaemaSnr If you like talking to him, it maybe a chance you have to take. Don't worry! All relationships are a bit of a gamble.
...and I didn't want to say it outright, but he may be right, "who texts first" is a bit petty.
