Do you like talking to the person? Can you ask the person why they don't text first? Does the person possibly have low self-confidence and doesn't feel as though they have anything to say?
RaemaSnr · 26-30, F
@AristotleB Yes I do... I feel like if I ask he'll say I'm tripping.
AristotleB · 46-50, M
@RaemaSnr If you like talking to him, it maybe a chance you have to take. Don't worry! All relationships are a bit of a gamble.
...and I didn't want to say it outright, but he may be right, "who texts first" is a bit petty.

@AristotleB you do have a point, I shouldn't overthink
Probably not. At least not in my experience. They may not like you but are too polite to say so.

@RaemaSnr That depends on how much u like him. Its not the end of the world though. There are plenty of guys out there.

@DisgruntledWookie easy to say...
@RaemaSnr Well its easy for me I dont really have a crush on anybody lol
TeirdalinFirefall · 31-35, M
I only reply if someone messages me or replies to my messages.
Otherwise I figure they're tired of talking to me.

@TeirdalinFirefall I'm starting to think so too... But I like them

My honest advice, find out what MBTI personality type they are. It explains so much about people's intentions
For example extroverted people will reach out to you if they sense you are stressed, wanting to change your mood. Introverted people will give you space, waiting for you to seem ready to talk. Knowing which type you're dealing with gives a lot of context to their decisions

@plungesponge I feel like those are stereotypes
plungesponge · 41-45, M
Stereotypes are very useful. For example, is it a stereotype to think that a person who uses a lot of rude words is likely to have a much of other anti-social traits? Probably, but that's just an extrapolation.
RaemaSnr · 26-30, F
@plungesponge I gueeeeess, I'll ask but I doubt he's the type to gaf about that stuff unfortunately

I used to do that with a friend.. I didn’t especially like talking to them but was in the habit of replying
Benjr134 · M
@SW-User Were they truly a friend then?
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
I'm the person who doesn't message first - usually because of some combination of not wanting to be a bother, having nothing to say at the moment, and crippling stress/anxiety.
LyricalOne · F
I probably wouldn’t bother.
RaemaSnr · 26-30, F
@LyricalOne You always give logical advice 😅
LyricalOne · F
@RaemaSnr I just want to see women learn to have confidence and good self esteem. You deserve better. Remember that! Find a guy who’s worthy of you and he’ll be doing plenty of texting first! 😉
RaemaSnr · 26-30, F
@LyricalOne 😄 Thanks!
SailorMarz · F
I’d feel like a bother

SW-User
@SailorMarz you’re never a bother, darlin’. Just recommend more.
SailorMarz · F
Lol did you enjoy your movie day? @SW-User

SW-User
I told you I did. 🤦🏻♂️@SailorMarz

You stop texting first.
Mindful · 56-60, F

That doesn’t mean they would make a great gf or bf
Who is first is a little silly
I’m always first to write to my favorite people and they LIvE with me!
