What city to you recommend moving to in the US?

Hey guys,

I'm planning to move back to the States soon.

Just wonder where you recommend living.

I never want to live down south again, I don't like extreme weather (but it's negotiable if it's cold), I need a diverse city, and there should be public transportation!

Some that I've thought of are: Denver, Seattle (TOO EXPENSIVE), Portland, Madison, and Indianapolis.

Expense is a major concern (recentish college grad)

Honestly the midwest isn't so bad if you don't mind simplicity.

@Rokasu do you have a particular place in the Midwest? Both Madison and Indianapolis top my list and they're in the midwest. Both surprised me b/c WI and IN are not states I'd want to live in, however those big cities may be perfect!

I'm worried about crime in Indianapolis? Plus, does it seem like a nice, walkable city?
