Call me lazy but I end up using shortcuts very often and it does work for me, but I have observed that some people make you feel really guilty about it, and that makes me feel so conflicted lol

It's called smart work. If it includes all the precautions, and nothing is at stake, why not!! That's why there's automation to get rid of boring repetitive things and give people exciting things to do. You just have to save the effort and time and not burn yourself out. If it works for you, it's great. Those who say shortcuts are dangerous, maybe it's their approach that doesn't work. I don't see them as shortcuts, but evolution of human intelligence to do things more effectively to meet the demand of the population with time. We fly over the oceans, we don't sail like ancient days. Some may say it's a shortcut, but it's far safer an effective than sailing.
