Call me lazy but I end up using shortcuts very often and it does work for me, but I have observed that some people make you feel really guilty about it, and that makes me feel so conflicted lol

Yes, if you can truly get the same results repeatedly it is fine. Yet you shouldn't rely on them.

@MethDozer Yeah I was told it’s a bad habit lol

@SW-User Only if you forget or lose skill in doing it the long way. Like I enjoy working on engines. There are shortcuts and tricks I might use on a small engine to set timing and valves, things like that, and it works fine. If I used those shortcuts on say a big block V8 or even a 4 cylinder car or marine engine it would shoddy work and could even cause severe problems.

@MethDozer Well said, I find myself resorting to shortcuts for important tasks too so I needed a reality check

@SW-User What kind of work if not to much to ask?

@MethDozer Lol just academic or anything really, I just don’t feel like working hard unless it’s absolutely required
