Any suggestions?

A friend of mine got a hold of me last night and I asked him if he was ok?, he said not even close, I’m an alcoholic.
Now, this friend of mine is a fairly new friend, I befriended him befriended him at the end of last year. What I have come to know is he had been in rehab for drugs. And in the past has been in a car accident because of being on drugs, although he was the one who got hit by someone else. I don’t really know the whole story though. Anyways, since he has been out of rehab, he started drinking. I don’t know if he’s been treated for alcoholism too.
I suggested rehab again and he said no, drinking helps him. I said I can’t help someone who doesn’t want help. He started talking about how he wished people would just stop helping him.
I don’t know what to say and I don’t know how to help him but I’m worried about him. Does anyone have any suggestions? Know how to communicate with someone like this to get them to listen?

Honestly if he doesn’t want the help he’ll have to hit bottom before accepting any
