You're allowed to have whatever kind of identity you want. 馃し

@UndeadPrivateer what about a SPECIES identity??? :O
Bro, is that a thing??
UndeadPrivateer31-35, M
@SW-User I mean, I'm a transhumanist so I'd say yes that is a thing people have. Whether they recognise it or not.
SW-User
@UndeadPrivateer I have supported transhumanism since the movement began and I heard of it XD
But I meant, imagine that I wanted to have an identity for my status as a 6'2 human ? 馃
And instead, I wanna be a 6'2 CHIHUAHUA XD
UndeadPrivateer31-35, M
@SW-User That's a pretty transhumanist goal. Become a humanoid Chihuahua genetic abomination. (I of course mean abomination in as endearing a way as possible.)
SW-User
@UndeadPrivateer sure. I lowkey wanna find a way to change DNA to different sequences and types, safely one day :v
It is a big dream of mine
UndeadPrivateer31-35, M
@SW-User I'm pretty down for radical genetic and cybernetic alteration, in all honesty. Very okay with casting off human form and function for something better. I'm not so low key, lol.
SW-User
@UndeadPrivateer it seems possible with how recent nanotechnology has been able to stretch out a DNA strand to its full length and read it, we could be on the right track to actual, and accurate DNA manipulation.... which would take an agonizing amount of time :v

What is a cybernetic alteration?
UndeadPrivateer31-35, M
@SW-User Especially when you combine that with advanced gene therapies, tons of potential.

Replacing and augmenting the human body with artificial constructions. There's a lot of exciting stuff in BCIs. Brain-Computer Interfaces.
SW-User
@UndeadPrivateer I am sooooo well aware of all the amazing things in BCI's and other biotech *__*
Me and my big head used to be a neuroscience student but fell 2 years back (and back with a hella deep loan price) to become a computer science major when I read about Carnegie-Mellon University's Dr. Marcel Trust working with AI to record brain activities. They accept CS students more into their government-assisted programs, so I guess I made some interesting decisions to start working with tryna make a future in quantum and biocomputing :/
I took a class which covered BCI's and it was among the most amazing classes I have ever taken. Too bad I am not heading back there again ;-;

Btw, have you still tried accessing IBM's quantum supercomputer on cloud, yet? >.>
UndeadPrivateer31-35, M
@SW-User I know how that can go. Sucks, but glad you're still trying.

No, still elbow deep in tabletop game design. XD
SW-User
@UndeadPrivateer I know :/
I hope I graduate. Things look rough tbh
UndeadPrivateer31-35, M
@SW-User I do know that feeling. :/ Stick with it as best you can, regardless of what happens it's still valuable life lessons, imo.
SW-User
@UndeadPrivateer I shall take that wisdom to the grave. Diehard a tryhard
