Yeah no, not true. Attractive people actually tend to do better in life than less attractive people. Also the reason we like people who are prettier is because your children will be more successful. I was curious if I was or not, and I obviously can't ask people I know because they'll be too nice about it.

@foreverandever Studies have suggested that attractive people have some advantage where success is concerned, but that is just one factor. There is also a theory that the most important factor in determining success is actually a person's Emotional Intelligence. Regarding children, as I understand it we tend to look for partners who are the strongest genetic match to ensure we create healthy children. Fitness is a factor though and its often the case that the fittest people are among the most attractive.
