Okay. A few things:
- Some crushes you can act on, some you can't. Know which is which and try to be realistic about it.
- Having a crush you can't act on with like... a teacher or whatever is perfectly fine. There's nothing unhealthy or weird about it. Enjoy the fantasy of it, but try not to let it get consuming.
- When you crush you're putting someone on a pedestal. Everyone is flawed and insecure and fucked up and weird and it's a good thing to find out -how- your crush is crazy (remember, everyone is crazy) because it will humanize the person more.
- If it's bothering you or you're fixating too much, try some forcible distractions. Focus your attentions elsewhere and let the person fade into the background.

@ImRileyTheDog Yeah. Honestly, literally all I can offer for advice is distraction and trying to reorient to someone or something else to occupy your mind which is... not easy. Time helps the most. Crushes are never forever. but that doesn't help you like, right this instant.

@CountScrofula Crushes do go away but it's hard when it is someone you see often. I always had a thing for teachers and when I did have a huge crush on my history teacher in 8th grade, oh boy that was rough. My current crush is a little bit harder to get over considering I see him often and I need to go to him for stuff and my future.

@ImRileyTheDog Ugh. Yeah that's awkward. Just remember that the inner turmoil you're having is not going to be visible. And importantly, you're only seeing one part of him and extrapolating his entire being from that one part. Maybe he secretly stomps babies or something IDK. Crushes simplify people.

@CountScrofula Yeah and I know it will pass but for now it seems it will be here for a while, at least for a year and a half. So I guess I’ll just hide it for that time till it passes.
