Whats the best way to budget?

I have been using YouNeedABudget and it's just not working for me. At all. Does anyone know of a different app or way to budget? I would deeply appreciate it.

@darktippedrose yeah, I don't really like his website either. It's too busy! But there's the section called Getting Started. You could try that. I got started by reading his book Total Money Makeover. I found it at the library but I know you can get it at pretty much any bookstore.
