I need advice from the point of view of an alcoholic.

I need to help my partner who has a drinking problem, we are on a break at the minute but we want things to work out. I'm not giving up on him. What can I do to help. I need to know from somebody who has been through this.

Been there, dumped that...after trying for longer than he deserved. Only he can do this.

You can be supportive but it can be a fine line between giving support and enabling.

Protect yourself. Alcoholics can suck the life from you if you don't maintain boundaries.
