Is it okay to use talcum powder for the face.

I've met a girl at the store in a mall. I was looking for a face powder and wanted to change brand. She has a very beautiful skin. She said she use talcum powder. I bought the same talcum powder as she does. I apply it, but it doesn't as smooth as hers. Maybe idk how to use it without the sponge. She said the sponge is not good for the skin. How to make the talcum powder smooth on the face. Is it good to use talcum powder for the face. Thank you for your advise.

In the long run no, as talcum powder forms a layer on the face and clogs the pores...so if you apply talcum powder, use wet wipes after a few hours
