Broken Phone

I tried to use my IPhone today, but it wouldn't turn on. I've tried resetting and charging it, but nothing seems to work. It hasn't been near water, so it isn't water damaged, and I've left it to cool in case it was the heat. Does anybody know what's wrong with my phone? Or better, how to fix it?
