Should I attempt to contact an old EP friend?

I kept his number in my contacts, mostly because I'm always too lazy to take out old numbers. (It's true, I still have some of my friends and family's old numbers next to their new numbers.) I'm not even sure if it's his number still. Should I just check? And if it's still his number, would he think it's weird I kept his number?

We kind of left off on a bad note. Well...not really a bad note. Just awkward I guess. Should I go for it or leave him be?

@geojr1 Well at the time (if you don't mind me telling you how it was left off) he seemed to be pressuring me to get into his interests a lot and I kept trying to tell him that he shouldn't get his hopes up. But he kept insisting, which by this point I'm getting annoyed. I guess he could sort of tell and so we ended the conversation like a normal one but neither of us ended up contacting the other for like....3 years...

@LadyAlera sadly once it gets to one of you wanting it to go to the next level it is hard to be just friends. they get jealous if you get a bf/gf and other things like that

Then again he could have a gf now and could find my attempt to reach him inappropriate or something.

So I should just leave him be then...?
