Should I write the note?
There is this girl from my class that I might like... I don't know... She seems interesting... We talked over tumblr once and I've learnt a lot about the things she likes: like music, movies etc. We have a lot in common and she seems very kind and caring.
She lent me a book (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) which I've read and have to give it back to her in a few days. Since summer holidays have started, we don't see each other at all (she lives in another town) so I just tried forgeting about it all. I don't want to develop a crush because it scares me. As far as I know, she might have a boyfriend or a girlfriend.
Then again, I don't have many friends and she once told me that we can start talking more if I'd like to because I seem like an interesting person. And maybe I don't want things to go anywhere, but I really want to get to know her, that's all...
Now, I'm not sure about this, but I think I noticed her looking my way a couple of times at the end of the school year. Maybe she also just wants to bond over our common LGBTness since we live in small towns on an island and it's nice to find people like you.
In her book, she underlined her favorite lines and wrote lyrics of some of the songs mentioned in the book. She also left a note with "Thing I've learnt from Charlie" (the main character) written on it. I just found it to be the cutest thing ever.
I thought about writing a note/letter saying how I'd like to hang out with her, but I'm too awkward and shy to ask and so on. I feel like she would get me since she seems to get Charlie who is much like me so being honest with her wouldn't be that bad, would it? I wanted to write that note, put it in the book and hand it back at the end of the school year, but I didn't manage to read the book until the end then.
Now, I don't know if it's worth it. She has a summer job, probably a lot of friends to hang out with in her free time and I feel like a bore.
I've been the one messaging her first so I can't do it again, I don't want to be too clingy.
