How to reach someone who won’t see the whole of me?

I can’t be heard—really heard—over the din of their own brain’s soundtrack.

And I know they’re trying to slowly get out of a lifelong rut of emotional spiraling habits and negative feedback loops and self-loathing, self-sabotage.

It’s someone I do not want to give up on, yet I keep failing.

Not an easy situation .. maybe support their efforts to see if they succeed and can hear you when they are in a better space .. just don't lose yourself in the process
