I Need Advice

Hey guys, good morning!

I'd just like some help figuring out someone's perspective because I can't think of what I've done to upset this person.

Anyway, my SO lives with his sister. He asked me to stay the week because his work is making it hard for us to see each other and I gladly complied. He spoke to his sister about it who was somewhat apprehensive but gave it the green light. But as the days went by (I stayed Tuesday-Friday) she became more cold to me and was generally moody. She ended up coming home Thursday night, realized I was over, and left in a huff, slamming the front door. Now, I've done nothing to her to upset her, honest to God. While I was over on my days off, I let the dog out, cleaned the dishes, and tried to stay out of her way when I saw she didn't really want anything to do with me. I had planned on trying to see if she wanted to play a game she had told my SO she wanted to play with us at some point (I wanted to bond with her because my first impression she got was me awkwardly watching them banter to determine how I should interact with them, and while I've been out with them together a few times and it's been fine I haven't hung out with her one on one) but she wasn't home long enough and was distant at best. After I left early yesterday (I wasn't planning on leaving until today or tomorrow) at my SO's request so he could talk to her, he told me this morning that she had been in a better mood after I left last night.

Besides this being a rant because he asked me to leave early because of his sister, I'm just hoping for some theories as to why she's acting this way. Obviously it's only from my perspective, but does it sound like she doesn't like me? Or maybe just invaded her space? I just want some advice because I'm afraid to go back over to his house now, I don't want to upset her.

I know from experience what you are going through. When a brother and sister are close (like myself and my sister)there is competition for attention when someone new enters the scene. I believe that is what happened to you. She saw you as competition for his attention. That is why after you left she was fine.
