Is it rude of them? [I Need Advice]

Anytime my boyfriend and I invite our roommates to go out with us they invite the neighbors. The neighbors consist of a couple and 3 kids.

While they're nice people they tend to be really loud, get drunk fast, and talk shit about their kids who don't behave. Is it rude of them to keep inviting them without asking and should I talk to them about it?

Yes, talk to them. Tell them that you like the neighbors well enough but when you invite them to hang out with you guys, you just meant them alone. If you want the neighbors to join you, you'll invite them yourselves.

Yes it's definitely rude of them to invite anyone else without asking you first.
The next time you invite them i'd be telling them straight out that you're inviting just them because you want to enjoy their company and hope they understand but if you wanted the neighbours and their kids along you would have invited them yourself.

I would talk to them about it. An invitation to a couple of roommates is NOT an invitation to the entire world...especially annoying members of that world.
