How do I politely tell my friend I don't want to be involved in the pyramid scheme they want me to be a part of? [I Need Advice]

They were looking out for me, but the business they want me involved in seems dubious and illogical. I don't have a job, but the way this mentorship program seems to work is you have to recruit people to get to the next level, and the more people you bring into it the more money you make, and more entrepreneurial advice they give you. I don't know what to do.
They either are not your friends or they are also being suckered into the pyramid scheme .
Tell them NO!
You need not give them a reason. Just say No!

@whitecuckmn This has been resolved, and I didn't get involved with their scheme.
Good for you.@Razoreye001

Tell them flat out. It is a mistake to get involved in a thing like that and you are not gullible enough to do it.

Start with, "Listen, shithead..." and go from there.

I should probably clarify that what I'm saying is you couldn't get more rude than that, so whatever you do say is fine.

The reason they're attempting to recruit you is because they know you're polite and are easy to manipulate. You don't owe anyone who attempts to use your friendship in that way any polite explanations. Tell them it sounds too much like a pyramid scheme and you're uncomfortable with it. If they press you further, tell them it's not for you and it's the end of the discussion.

Lost 2 friends years ago because I wouldn’t go into a similar business venture several years ago

I hate scams like that... They push your friends to recruit you. You are likened to a pawn.

So tell them...
"I don't want to commit to anything right now as I am concentrating on finding steady employment providing a steady income and benefits."

I can guarantee that their "mentorship" doesn't provide benefits... so that is your "dealbreaker" as to why you can't accept their offer.

I got a presentation like that once.... I just told them "With full time school and a 48+ hour a week job, I just don't have time for anything else."
'hey, let's google them and their better business rating... '

@stound Okay. That's a better idea.

I have the same problem. I flat out told her I’m not interested in that. Please don’t continue to ask.

Although you will likely gain lots of transferable skills from that line of work

Ponzi scheme
Razoreye001 · 31-35, M
@SW-User I thought a ponzi scheme is when they tell you they're investing your money, but they move it around, and put it into their own pockets.

@Razoreye001 A Ponzi scheme (/ˈpɒnzi/, Italian: [ˈpontsi]; also a Ponzi game)[1] is a form of fraud that lures investors and pays profits to earlier investors with funds from more recent investors.

Just say it’s not your thing

Say "the business seems dubious and illogical"
