I Need Advice

Who should I go to a chiropractor or an orthoopedist (bone dr). I got in a car wreck on Sept. 26. I was sitting at a red light when a pickup truck crashed into me going at least 40m/hr. Her impact pushed me into the Range Rover in front of me. Car was smashed. I went to the ER and was diagnosed with whiplash. I retained a lawyer because of the seriousness of the accident. My car was totaled and have an injury. The lawyer told me to get into a chiropractor right away. I've been going for 2 wks. He's got me on a 6 wk. program. He adjusts my neck and spine and does a heat massage. Several people have told me it's not a good idea to keep going to the chiropractor and two people have told me it'd be better to see an orthopedist. They have me very worried about seeing this chiropractor but at the same time I don't have a bad feeling about this chiropractor. Any advice?
