What's the real reason cats bring us dead things...

Cats bring them as a present. It's disgusting. However, I got 17 cats and only 2 like to hunt. One likes to catch lizards and one likes to eat butterflies. The rest don't have a clue about hunting. A bird could be sitting in front of them and they could care less. Animals in general get a bad rap. They can all live in harmony and teach the rest of us human morons a lesson. I also got wild skunks, racoons and possums passing through my yard and co-mingling with my outdoor cats. No fights except for the baby skunks that fight with each other and then spray. Stinky munchkins.

Pets show their love by bringing you gifts. They are hunters as man shoud be. In the old days they brought the food home. Today women can also bring food to the home. Animals whether domestic or wild do the same. Sometimes they can't change their behavior it is just instinct that motivates them. As a human you as a pet lover has to teach them otherwise. Eat you gift and not bring it home. That was my lesson to my child who loves me.

Hehe .. sometimes you have to wonder .. I guess they want approval from the boss as they think they've demonstrated prowess .. but after a few experiences of having the boss scream and run away .. maybe they're sadists?

Ahhh you must have met my little girl Africa, she is sooo tiny and sweet but a vicious killer, she likes to bring her trophies home as a gift to us.

Cats are hunters. They hunt. They kill. If they are bonded to you, they bring you the food they have killed for you. You should be honored. The cat is caring for you...in it's own way.

they love us , and it's their gift to us and sometimes the gifts are still alive running about the place

i think they believe we are keeping stats on their "kills" so they bring it to us ... another one bites the dust.
