Wow! This is really horrible!!!

I'm watching "I am Not Your Guru". It's documentary about Tony Robbins and one of his 6 day intensive.

He is literally destroying lives under the guise that he knows what they need and want and then makes them act in accordance to his assumptions.

The first one, a girl says she wants to change her diet. Instead, he goes into her daddy issues and never actually does anything to deal with her eating habits.

The second one, he gets a woman to call her boyfriend and break up with him in front of 10,000 people and tries to make it seem like a good thing.

This is just monsterous. He is not a therapist. He's not certified. He is a person with high charisma.

He makes the attendees fill out a form to explain why they are there and past traumas so he can use them as "examples" of how his process works, but he's really just victimizing already vulnerable people.

So gross!!!

Robbins has always been a very dangerous person. To others..Like a Messiah, he preaches that his path is the one true way that will lead you to salvation and he attracted the soft headed and vulnerable by the very nature of his work.. He is one step away from the Law of Attraction..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Well, he did say in the documentary that his way is just one path and it may not be the right one for everyone.

The problem with that is that the intensive they recorded cost $5,000 in 2016, which means, you either spent a lot of money you probably didn't have so you went into debt to go, or, you brike the bank to attend.

The second problem is that you are in a large group setting where you can easily be manipulated by your own emotions and the emotions of the people around you. This makes it easier to have a "life changing event". Add into this that a lot of people are at this program from early in the morning till late at night, so they are more than likely sleep deprived, a tactic famously used by cults to get recruits.

Then the third is the lovebombing that is taking place. He may start out really gentle and kind, or as a complete dick, but then he ends it with not just hugs from himself, but the whole group. That again manipulates emotions and creates a dependent bond.

These three things are total red flags.

Also, I'm pretty certain Keith Ranerie was in the audience. A guy who looked remarkably like him was shown giving a standing ovation.

Just seems like a lot of culty tactics to get what look like results in the moment, but don't actually deliver beyond it.

@FoxyQueen I agree with every word of that. The large crowds in particular encourge mob mentality, where everyone is dragged along. And i wouldnt be surprises is the crow was seeded with a few shills to get things rolling..The cult side of it is actually self generating.. As the very people who cant direct and drive their own lives and look to him are the same group who seek spiritual guidance..😷
