He finally did it

So my buddy finally went in and filed a grievance against the head therapist of the 12-week program that he is in. He's been very afraid of doing this because he didn't want to come across as entitled or like he was trying to find an easy out. But this therapist has been treating him unfairly. Withholding medication for headaches not listening to him. he's really wanting to succeed at this program and get better but feels like this therapist is holding him back for some reason. He has a grudge against him or jealousy. He really wants to work the program and get better. All he is looking for is to have a different therapist be in charge of his case. He's trying to get our therapist to be the one to manage his case from now on.

So they are reviewing his case and should come up with a decision by the end of the day.

That's totally against all ethical and medical rules and regulations in the medical profession. If he has some personal bias against your friend, the medical review board could suspend or fire him.

@Barefooter25 I hope it doesn't come to that but my buddy just wants to be listened to and treated fairly in the program.
Good for him. A therapist is very important and he should certainly have the right to choose a different one. His recovery will depend on that relationship.

@bijouxbroussard is a bit more complicated for him because he is in a 12-week program for recovery from him attempting to take his life last month. There are certain rules that he must follow.. as part of the reason why he's so concerned. But that doesn't mean that the head therapist should be able to treat him badly like he has been.

Hoping for the best for your friend. This is a very difficult situation. At least he has a good friend like you that obviously cares
Cigarguy · M
@DeluxedEdition he is very worried about doing this but he needed to. He's been so stressed over this and I think it's holding him back on focusing on the treatment part of the program.

Majority of the times people compromise n not complain takes courage to report matters good show
Cigarguy · M
@romell he was extremely nervous about doing it and now he's very anxious about what the results will be. I really feel bad for him. It's a tough situation to be in but I know he's doing the right thing

@Cigarguy all the best guys
Sounds like a head therapist wants to get fired and sued
Cigarguy · M
@NativePortlander1970 I hope it doesn't go that far. He just wants a new lead therapist on his case. One that is treating him fairly and not judging him so much
@Cigarguy The therapist deserves to get fired at the least.
