Hypnosis for anxiety

Has anyone had any experience with hypnosis to help them deal with their confidence issues?

I'm considering getting an appointment, but wouldn't know what to expect or recommendations.

I used it for anxiety over an upcoming surgery,the woman was a psychologist as well as a hypnotist..money well spent
