Do you fear AI?

I think of myself as a transhumanist. If we don't blow ourselves up and keep technologically progressing eventually most of our jobs including even healthcare will be handled by AI. Best case scenario is Star Trek, worst case is Wall-E. Let's roll those dice!!!

I don't fear them but I think it would be good for as many people as possible to agree on certain restrictions now or else we may have a serious problem in the future.

Certain governments are already researching how to use AI in war situations. There are ethical questions connected to Humans being killed by AI who chose to target them without a Human being involved.

That's just one example and there are many other ethical issues connected to AI.

Still a long long way off.
Forget flying cars; autonomous surgeons and indestructible cops. I'd be amazed if they could just come up with a banking app that didn't crash !
