This power-crazed loon shows the world that he can't even write correct English

Really not a person to entrust the world’s health to.
"But, say all countries' leaders, we'll do it anyway. There's money in it for us. Big money. To hell with our citizens."

We are led by self-serving fools.

Are you as fluent speaking and writing in his home language(s) as he is in English?

Come on - be honest. You are attacking him because you hate what he says, not how he says it.
WalterF · 70-79, M
@ArishMell There is no need for me to speak a Latin American language. I have no pretensions to take over the world with a "One Health" programme (never heard of that? oh sorry, it's another conspiracy theory I dug up).

As the co-leader in the Great Reset by 2030 (sorry - another fable you persist in disbelieving), he owes it to us, his future slave labour, to make the effort to express himself in a way that commands respect. Even if nothing else about him comes anywhere near gaining respect.

Whether you admit it or not, this unshaven, graceless communist is one of the most powerful men in the world.

@WalterF I have no idea so do not really worry what his political beliefs are, I do not believe your allegations anyway... but you opened your thread with merely a childish sneer at his knowledge of English.

No you are attacking him for not shaving. Oh for God's sake! If you really want people to obey you, you will have to do better than that!

Are you like this in real life?

Great Reset? Yes, I have heard of it. Some metaphorical phrase coined by some politician years ago i forget whom but it does not matter. Not a serious proposal, even less a plan being implemented,
WalterF · 70-79, M
@ArishMell You really are totally out of touch with reality. Your airy dismissal of the "Great Reset" shows just how far out of touch you are.

And yes, since you persistently ask, I am exactly like this in real life. SW, for me at any rate, is a place where I can say it as I really see it. If this is problematic for you, you are under no obligation to read my posts, are you?

However, to address another of your remarks, I do NOT want people to "obey" me! What on earth prompted that idea? I trust that you permit people to express their opinions? Where does "obey" come into it?
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@WalterF I was quite deliberate with my word "obey".

I have not "persistently" asked if you like this in real life - with friends and family - but your admission you are is hardly surprising.

You regard your opinions as plain unvarnished facts, usually from sources you refuse to cite, and you treat as ignorant fools anyone who refuses to go along with you or worse, dares question you.

You hurled three character-assassination allegations at someone for heading an organisation you make no secret of despising because you are frightened it is some sort of world-government in the making; or part of some largely-academic and practically meaningless "Great Reset" idea.

Of those three allegations, two are merely childish.

The third, the only one worth asking of, is you think he is a "Communist". Is he in fact a member of any Communist Party and does he promulgated Communist policies; and if so, where and in what does he publish his ideology? Does it even matter though? You and I live in 21C Britain, not 1950s America caught up in its frenzied McArthy kangaroo-courts - set up on security grounds but really only harming free speech in that nation.

@WalterF Ah, a fragile government that does not like being questioned or criticised...

That's clearly what it amounts to here.

It may be fair to say the WHO should not directly comment or criticise any government openly, as doing so could compromise its work; even though Mr. Ghebreyesus was right in what he said, and about his own country.

Someone has to say these things though, and if a UN agency can't, who can?
