Some of the posts are really ridiculous. I’m trying to stay away from the anti-vaxxers since I lost a relative who was one to Covid last month. Obviously I don’t want anyone to die, and I’m sad that he’s gone, but no one could’ve changed his mind. His widow and teenagers were vaccinated after his funeral.

@uncalled4 Thanks, my friend. When I spoke with my cousin earlier this year, I couldn’t believe he wasn’t getting vaccinated, everyone else in the family has. But I didn’t want to argue about it, and I hoped he would be okay.

@bijouxbroussard My friend who passed from Covid in February was wearing his mask beneath his nose. I didn't want to be that guy either. I hope everyone is OK. And, I still feel getting the shot should be a choice. Sigh.

@bijouxbroussard I am so sorry 💕

@Abstraction well I just exchanged a perfectly sensible PM on the subject with my Scottish online friend in another place...we’ve been doing that for a year now!Moans about Sturgeon and Drakeford have largely disappeared!

@TheSirfurryanimalWales Great to see you getting out and about

@Abstraction I mean to be fair, this anti-vax movement is making some people's lives shorter. 🤔
Besides, arguing with strangers about things that might kill them still seems more worthwhile than celebrity gossip or discussing the latest episode of Popular Show X.

It's not just online. A neighbor says she was accosted in a store for wearing a mask, which I also do (not currently required unless the store requires it). Her verbal assailant called her names and shouted "We'll never be free if {}#*s like you keep wearing }#%** masks.

@Mamapolo2016 "we'll never be free if I respect your right to wear a mask" these folks have pretty twisted logic.
bijouxbroussard · F
@Mamapolo2016 It is scary that these folks who see a virus as a “freedom” issue would attack someone’s personal freedom to try and avoid being infected, by wearing a mask. 🤨

@Mamapolo2016 did you see the video of the woman in the grocery store in Nebraska coughing on people? Posted on social media, found out who she was and get got fired from her job.

with treats of us being ostrasized, with real life family members getting covid vaccine related health problems, it feels like the noose is tightening around my neck....

If the dumph*ks only hurt themselves I dont think anyone would mind. But apart from spreading the stuff around they are keeping the virus out there in the community and evolving. And thats going to damage business and industry globally for years.😷
Claire2k · 22-25, F
There’s been some absolute nonsense spouted about covid on here! I think people do it deliberately in order to get responses, it’s a bit sad but mostly stupid!
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
Public health issues have now become political, with all of the bickering and emotion that entails. It's insanity.
