Almost all Christian churches that practice discipline (usually the more intense Protestant ones) will shame people at increasing levels and eventually kick them out of the congregation.

However "high control groups" aka cults that fall within something like Christian tradition will go to the more extreme levels such as physical punishment or extreme acts of shame with the most extreme going into what effectively becomes sadistic torture.

There are definitely churches that encourage parental discipline by supplying a special room. Usually the room is called a "crying room" and intended for nursing moms but often such rooms are used for discipline. Long ago we often heard sermons about the benefits of spanking, especially with older pastors. My parents did not attend the church I joined and that sponsored our scout troop so I never worried that such sermons would have any effects on my discipline but other kids were very nervous during talk of Biblical Correction, strop oil, and peach trees as a source of rods of correction. I never understood how caster oil worked (it was a laxative); I thought the punishment part of caster oil was its taste! It took me a while to learn how strop oil was applied (direct contact with our bottoms) and not by the spoonful!
