Corporal punishment still used in schools?

I grew up in a culture where corporal punishment was used widely in schools. I now live in the UK where corporal punishment has been illegal in all schools (private and state) for years. How many countries are there where school corporal punishment is still common?

@Waxfoot Did you get plenty of the stick in SA? I know two women who got bottom caning in the 1990s before it was abolished, one at an Afrikaner rural school (caned severely and often) the other at an anglo one in CT (twice, but it ended when she was 14 or she'd have got a lot more).
