Do you believe corporal punishment was abolished in schools because they found out certain pupils were secretly enjoying it?

There is a popular belief that that was the reason why. Your thoughts?

In my schools in the South they could paddle kids up through the 12th grade. Boys and girls. I think some of them did like it. I know some teachers and administrators did too! There are still 19 states in the US that allow corporal punishment.

@Nitedoc I say it was stopped in large part because education is not supposed to be about obedience or fear. Its supposed to be pleasurable or its not really about learning. School subjects are often "hard" enough even on a nice day

People learn about a violent world everywhere, I say its a good idea we mostly don't want that in our schools

@PleasurePunch What about those of us who found being spanked pleasurable?

@MaryDreamilton I'm not going to discuss the problems in school discipline anymore. That's not even what this thread is about. I got side tracked.

@MaryDreamilton Maybe its just an SW thing. OK? Like in real life I guess. Not interested.

But if I really had to say, this kind of perversion is about child abuse. Go look at it.
