Girls slippered or caned in trousers

Talking to people here it seems that my sister was in a minority when getting CP at school. She was often caned or slippered in trousers. Did this happen to anyone else?

We had the slipper but more of a plimsoll

@Havesomefun2 We always said "the slipper" at school but it was actually an old, well worn, plimsoll.

@Sharon only in sport class the other classes was black board rubber

@Havesomefun2 An old plimsoll was part of the standard classroom equipment at my school . Al lot of teachers carried their own as well.

@Sharon it was occasionally called a dap or at Katie’s school a plimy. That could be a reference to the classics they studied as well lol. A caning there was called a “Twigging”
