Overheard spankings

Has anyone inadvertently overheard a spanking? I remember hear the unmistakable sound of a slippering in my upper school when. I was on what we called corridor monitoring. I waited to see who had got a walloping. The door to the heads office opened and one of the fith form girls headed off down the hall with her hands cupping her bottom. That memory has stayed with me.
