@jamieWriter similar to my experiences in uk in the 50s and 60s when it was a common practice.

@jackcros Classroom slipperings were everyday events. There weren't many days when no one in the class was called out to the front for the slipper, girls just as often as boys.

@jackcros yes it was pretty common especially for boys. Kids today would be astonished and horrified!!

@jamieWriter Overall boys were more likely than girls to be subject to CP but some schools were more fair minded so girls got slippered and caned on the same basis as boys.
