I Received Corporal Punishment At School

when I was at school in a private Prep school in the 50's corporal punishment was widely used by the head and teachers. It was not so much a question of while attending school if you would get your bottom whacked but how soon each term would you get it. It was also a question of how many times you would each term find yourself bending over to have your bare bottom slippered or caned. It was part of school life. You went to school.not so much afraid, but wondering whose bottom was going to be whacked that day for something they did the day before...or worse still would you get a qhacking today.

may be many stories but in my day your bottom was whacked many times, almost as part of daily life. The events i talk about of course are over a period of years from when i was 6 to the last time i had my bottom whacked at 14 and was a seputy administering cp at a private prep school for 20 years as well as having 4 sons of my own

When I was at school we kept a "slipper chart" in the first couple of years where we recorded who got what and when. We also marked the first slippering of the week - which usually occurred sometime Monday morning. ;)

My sixth form maths. group re-introduced it because our maths. teacher was never slow to deploy his slipper.

I grew up in the 50’s and 60’s and corporal punishment was the norm in school. I wish the schools would bring it back. It would cure a lot of their discipline problems. I got soanked through high school and I sosnked my kids when they needed it.

@Txbob52 when needed i can see nothing wrong, as long as its not to excess, if a child if naughty taking its pants/knickers down and giving the bare bottom a soound whacking
