I Received Corporal Punishment At School

I think a lot of us older ones received the slipper or cane during our school days, taught us discipline, discipline sadly missing in today’s world

I got the cane quite a few times in secondary school too, including in 6th form.

In the first couple of years, my class kept a slipper chart where we recorded who got what and when. I came first several times. There was also special recognition for whoever got the first slippering of the week but no actual prizes.

My 6th form maths group reinstated the chart because our maths teacher used the slipper a lot.

What a surprise...!

I went to a private boy's military prep school in the 70's and we got caned on a regular basis, mine was almost every week for smoking, talking back or swearing and we always got caned in front of all the other boys. Housemaster had the end of a bamboo fishing rod wrapped in leather and electrical tape which he used to cane us, fully clothed but 10 swats hurt like hell, never stopped me from smoking though and there was nothing sexual about it, it was purely for punishment.

Yer I think our masters got off on it too as it seemed any excuse got you the cane .

I didn't get the cane in school. I probably had the slipper more times than anyone else for persistently refusing to participate in PE/games.

I got the slipper loads of times at school, everyone I knew then did. Most of us got the cane a few times too.

What was the prize you got for getting the most slipperings? Who awarded it?

We used to highlight the most slipperings and the most whacks.

I don't think you were alone in 'discovering' that kind of thing was going on. I'm pretty sure a few (only a few) teachers used the excuse of corporal punishment for their own satisfaction.

I refused to be caned. They suspended me for three days for that.

I have no doubt a lot of teachers got off on it.
