This was/is a great discussion of the merits of lengthy detentions over a few spanks or strokes of the cane/paddle. It is most interesting to me that detentions created great resentment but not the spanks/strokes. What explains this?
@Alfred22 For me, I think the time factor was a major consideration. A detention had to be waited for, and then was long and boring. A spanking was quickly over and done with. I’m talking about a spanking though - not six strokes of the cane!
