5 years teaching

I am going into my 5th year of teaching this year. I taught toddlers my first year, kindergarten girls (yes my school seperates boys and girls) my 2nd year and the last 2 years and this year ive taught gifted for the primary grades. It seems to go by so fast I also this year all my kids are in school. I also teach 2 of my 6 kids. If you are like no way she taught for 5 years shes only 26 I finished 30 college credits while still in high school so I started college full time already a sophmore and therefore graduated at 21.

I think you really love teaching to say the school year goes by so fast for you. Need more teachers like you.

Those are the very BEST ages to teach if you are a teacher!

My mother also taught elementary school as a substitute teacher. She was what they called a permanent sub. She would take over a class if a teacher became pregnant and couldn't continue the year.

Unfortunately, her last class was a 6th grade class, and the children were so unruly they needed a STRICT teacher for it...she had one little boy who was so disruptive that she didn't even TRY to teach him. She just bought him comic books, and let him sit there and read them.

Her class nicknamed her Mrs. Freeze, because when they became rowdy, she would yell "FREEZE!!!", and they would quiet down.

After that year she didn't want to teach ever again.
