Teachers with guns...

...make this make sense. This is the gun lobby's argument.

Teachers in PUBLIC schools should be armed because that is a public space and they don't have the right to refuse. But teachers in PRIVATE schools can say no to having armed teachers, because they are private property and have the right to say no.
Hypothetically, using their argument, the poorer American kids can be 'protected' but the wealthier ones are targets.
Is that what they want or have they just not thought it through?

A public school is not necessarily a public space because it isn’t open and accessible to the general public.
There are rules and guidelines for who can set foot on the property legally.
